Incidents of flights getting delayed due to VVIPs and celebrities are commonplace in India, but it is not everyday that we come across a situation wherein a celebrity is offloaded by an airline. Payal Rohatgi of Bigg Boss fame went through such an ordeal and took to Facebook Live to express her anger at Jet Airways.
In the video she starts off with saying how she reached for a 6 50 am flight at 6 20, and makes it a point to mention she was ‘flying business’. The rant takes a very absurd turn when she says she does not know if it’s a ‘secularism’ thing since both the officials she names are Muslims.
Now while we do not always expect celebrities to make very intelligent assessment of situations, citing this to be a ‘secularism’ thing is beyond stupid. Watch the video here:
She goes on to say how she had not done her yoga and hence lost her cool and also how the official told her to stop abusing when she was in fact not abusing. She even goes on to say how maybe the officials just got off from the wrong side of the bed and hence mistreated her. In the whole of her rant, the fact that she arrived half an hour prior to the flight when boarding gates close 45 minutes before take-off somehow does not seem to dawn upon her.She ends her video by pledging to never again travel on a Jet Airways flight.
What made her think she should put such a rant on Facebook live is best left to her judgment, but it keeps one waiting right till the end to be able to figure out what is the point she is trying to make. She barely makes any point or sense right till the end of the rant.
