Shakti Mohan and Mukti Mohan’s latest video is a take on the current trend of dancing fusions of Indian classical dance form and mixed with contemporary. Shakti Mohan posted a video on her Instagram account, dancing with her sister, Mukti Mohan and the video is already a hit as it has collected more than 40k likes in less than five hours.
Shakti and Mukti have chosen Indian Raga’s Carnatic version of the Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You, which went viral a few days back and their performance on the composition is just brilliant. Shakti Mohan, a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and contemporary dance form artist, won Dance India Dance, a talent show. She is quite active in the showbiz industry now and also, has been a judge on one of the popular dance shows. Shakti has a huge fan-following.
Her sister, Mukti is also a trained dancer, she also participated in Star Plus’ hit show, Zara Nach Ke Dikha 2, and was part of the winning team. It is always a treat to watch the two perform together.
In the video, both are performing a fusion of Indian classical dance form, Bharatnatyam with Contemporary and it is pure brilliance to watch these two dance.
