Here's why Facebook's latest updates are a bundle of joy

Facebook is giving its platform a major video facelift and it's going to change the way we watch video

It’s old news that tech giant Facebook believes that videos are the next big thing on social networking platforms. Lately, the company has been pushing videos on its platforms, which in turn has been a key factor in driving its growth. And now Facebook has taken its obsession with videos to a whole new level by introducing a bundle of features for all those who like to binge on videos.

Here’s all you need to know about Facebook’s latest updates:

Bringing sound to videos in the News Feed
Ever noticed how your videos play on the mute mode in your Facebook News Feed? Well, this is about to change as the social networking giant is bringing sound to the videos in your News Feed. However, if you are the kind who prefers their videos without sound, the good news is that you can disable this feature by switching off “Videos in News Feed Start With Sound” in Settings. Also, the videos will play without sound if your phone is set to silent mode, so you don’t have to worry about getting disturbed by the ‘noise’ at all.

Larger than life vertical videos
Another feature that is getting a larger than life update is the vertical videos. The good news is that the vertical videos will now be available in larger format on iOS and Android operating systems, giving your video-viewing experience a facelift.
