Ever tried imagining yourself as a parent? You can’t, right? Like, seriously. Our generation can hardly get the hang of adulting. Growing up, we thought this adulting bit would just click the moment we turn 18 but ask any 20-something (or even 30-something) “adult” if they’ve ever experienced the “click”.

Our parents seemed to have it all together. At 25, most of them had been married and had kids with a stable job and stuff. But this generation? We’re still fiercely dependent, financially insecure, and waste our time checking out cat photos and memes on the internet. The latest trend on Twitter attempts to find humour in the situation by mocking our non-existent parenting skills.

Using the hashtag #MeAsAParent, people on Twitter are imagining themselves as parents and boy, is it the very definition of parenting fails. Perhaps you would find our lack of responsibility and seriousness amusing (and very relatable).
