Kiki delinquents, beware! In Maharashtra, if you try to take up the challenge on public property, chances are you are probably going to end up cleaning after yourself. Quite literally so. A local court in Palghar district has ordered three men, who posted videos of taking the challenge in a moving train, to clean the Vasai railway station for three consecutive days.
The video that was shot by Shyam Sharma, Dhruv, and Nishant, all in their early 20s, at Vasai railway station in Mumbai was widely shared on social media. It soon got the attention of over 1.5 lakh people and the relevant authorities, which landed the trio in trouble, PTI reported.
According to a senior Railway Protection Force (RPF), the three were arrested and brought before the Vasai railway court, which directed them to clean the station and also raise awareness among other passengers to not perform such dangerous stunts.
“We arrested Shyam Sharma from a mall yesterday and he revealed the whereabouts of the other two, who too were arrested soon after. Sharma has previously worked in television serials while the other two have a channel on YouTube,” the railway official said.
Earlier, several police stations across the country had issued advisories against taking part in the Kiki challenge, which has gained popularity in the recent past. The challenge, which has now been termed as dangerous, involves jumping out of a moving vehicle and dancing to singer Drake’s song, “In My Feelings”.
