Hyperloop One is coming to India and it plans to transport you from Mumbai to Pune in just 25 minutes. Richard Branson-backed Virgin Hyperloop One has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Maharashtra government. The company will soon begin with an operational demonstration track and it would complete test run in three years.
It will be open to the public by 2025. Once functional, it will link Mumbai and Navi Mumbai International Airport with Pune. It will run at a speed of 350 kmph and transport 10,000 passengers an hour. The track will not only reduce accidents, ease congestion but also reduce the emission of greenhouse gases significantly.
