You can mock it, you can spread rumours about it, but if you haven’t had the pleasure of studying in an all girls college, you will never understand it. Being a part of a girls college is one hell of an experience. There is a lot of ‘hype’ around an all women’s college, since it happens to be a no man’s land. And what you cannot understand (or be a part of), you must always deride, right?
While initially, most girls feel they are being pushed into Dante’s Inferno – maybe because of the gendered nature of college but mostly, because it’s so intimidating to be in a room full of people and realising you are only surrounded by double x chromosome. But once you overcome that realisation, being a part of a ‘girls college’ can be the best years of your life. It gives you friends for life and helps you realise that there is no such thing as too much girl power.
If you think being in a girls college is all about bitching, looking down on each other, or just the live experience of ‘Mean Girls’, then you are sadly mistaken.

1. INTERVENTIONS? YAS PLEASE!
If you think “How I Met Your Mother” has insane numbers of interventions, please don’t ever visit a girls college. Be it not following the themed outfits, or ditching your girl gang to hang out with boyfriend, or getting over breakups, interventions at a girls college happens at the drop of hat.
2. SISTERHOOD OF TRAVELLING PANTS
Travelling with your girl gang is a unique experience. Partying your heart out with your girlies, all of you looking like a hot mess in some party shafts of Goa with lots of things to rave about is so self-fulfilling that you’d never want to be away from your girlfriends.

Drinking with your college girlfriends is much more than a routine but a rehabilitation process in itself. Drink. Party. Vent out your frustration about career, boyfriends and life. Sleep. wake up a fully rejuvenated person. Repeat.

Despite what people think, a life in girls college is way beyond talking about “boys” or “discussing boyfriends”. Life would be more about having fun, laughing until you are crying, making movie plans, twinning dresses than 24*7 rants about boyfriends.
5. PHOTOCOPY WALE BHAIYYA WILL HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN YOUR LIFE

6. SHOPAHOLICS
This is no secret that girls are crazy about shopping so imagine the whole bunch of them on a shopping spree. Plans after college are more about shopping and hawking for Sale and discount coupons than studies.

7. Cheating Innovation
If you think cheating in exams are only restricted to boys, it’s only because girls have innovative ways to cheat and never to get caught. The farras, hidden notes in the washroom, writings on your pencil box or shoes, girls are a pro at the cheat sheet.
8. MAKEUP / MAKEOVERS ARE BAE
This is how real it gets. Either you will come up for your 8.40 am class in your PJs looking like a mess or enter college dressed like a complete diva, there’s no in between. Girls colleges are known to be popular origins of fashion trends because #FashionGoalsOnPoint
9. YOU WILL LEARN TO CHERISH FRIENDSHIPS
