Actor Siddharth is in the news for tweeting about the ongoing issue of cattle slaughter. His statement against the cattle ban have made many Twitterati uncomfortable and provoked huge criticism. The famous Tamil actor challenged cow vigilantes and questioned the narrative of Hindu Rashtra. His tweets were rather surprising considering the sensitivity of the issue. Not only does the ruling party encourage slaughter ban, but just recently, Rajasthan High Court recommended life imprisonment on cow slaughter and also pressed on declaring the bovine as the national animal of India.
In a series of tweets, Siddharth highlighted the growing extremism and called out to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party to empower India and not people’s personal choices. Check out his tweets:
Dear #BJP you have power. Empower #India. Stay out of people’s private choices. Stop this #Hindu nation narrative. We are better than that.

The row about #cattle markets is unnecessary and only polarises people. State govts allow or disallow slaughter. #Center should stay out.

Most of us are neither #bhakts nor #libtards or whatever these ugly names are. We are just #Indians. Live and let live. Stop the hate!

Of course, this row of straightforward and direct tweet did not go well with the tweeple. Many people took offence and criticized him for blaming the government. They said:
actor Siddhartha is a naxal anti Indian – H raja
