Scout Larson is just three-year-old but is already a social media star. Scout’s mother, Ashley Larson, dresses her up like powerful feminist icons of the world and posts those beautifully replicated photographs on Instagram. But the reason behind posting her daughter’s pictures is not because she wants her to be popular but something that would melt your heart. The inspiration behind Scout dressing up like Adele, Malala Yousafzai, Emma Watson, Frida Kahlo and other popular strong-headed women, is her maternal grandmother, who was fighting a battle with cancer for quite some time and has now become a cancer-free. Scout’s Instagram account has more than 40k followers already and counting. Her adorable photographs dressed as strong females who have been fearless speaking out their minds will steal your heart.
In an interview to a leading website, Ashley shares, “The project all started when Scout’s grandma, her Nonnie, was diagnosed with breast cancer. We were looking for a way to keep our minds busy during a really hard time. When Nonnie’s hair started to fall out, Scout got very concerned and I wanted to put both of our minds at ease. I needed to teach her and remind myself that women are fighters! We chose famous & fierce women to teach her about the strength that women have.”
