Donald Trump has lately become a laughing stock on social media. From Melania Trump dissing his extended hand (twice) to this latest video where the American President received ‘a look’ from Pope Francis, he seems to be bringing a lot of entertainment for the meme parade. Donald Trump’s latest visit to Rome and his meeting with the Pope in Vatican City had the internet going abuzz, trolling the President of the United States of America with a collection of parodies.
President Trump and his family went to Rome to meet Pope Francis in the Vatican City where a half-hour discussion was concluded with the two parties exchanging gifts. And then came picture time. This was when things began to go south. The GIF that has been going viral has Pope Francis supposedly refusing to hold Trump’s hand in a similar fashion to that of Melania’s. Even though this is doctored footage, the internet has been rolling on the floor with this one.
As if Melania Trump swatting her husband’s hand away in public wasn’t enough, poor Donald was jeered at for this parody of the original incident. “The Pope wouldn’t hold his hand, either,” said Jimmy Kimmel on his popular show, “Poor guy. He just wants to be loved. He just wants to be touched. That’s all.”
The video that seems to be going viral with Pope Francis giving an almost chiding look towards Donald Trump has Twitterati in fits.
A photo editor would have had trouble finding the right picture where both Trump and Francis looked delighted in one another’s company.
And of course, Twitter was not going to spare Trump.

People went on to draw a comparison with their previous President Obama’s visit to the Vatican City.

The spat between the two had surfaced earlier this year when Pope Francis had gone on to record in February to say that he didn’t approve of Donald Trump’s decision to halt illegal immigration and build a wall in Mexico’s border. “A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian.” the Pope had told journalists in the Vatican City.
