From #WhatTheFluffChallenge (which bamboozled dogs) to Kiki challenge, that had people dancing outside their cars, 2018 proved that the best way to make something a trend is to create a challenge out of it. Now, a new viral dance trend has arrived: the Triangle Challenge.
The dance involves three people holding each other’s shoulders standing in a dancing formation. However, it is not as easy as it sounds. All three participants need to hop together and take turns to jump in the direction of a different invisible point in the triangle.
The moves, which require concentration and coordination, take some practice to ace. Using the hashtag #TriangleDance or #TriangleChallenge, people are sharing their attempts and the results are quite amusing. From home videos to ‘made in office space’, people can’t stop obsessing over this new challenge.
The synchronized dance challenge reportedly started on TikTok in February 2019 when a user by the name of Matthew Jones filmed and uploaded the first video.
