Not asked for 300 cuts in Padmavat, says CBFC chief. Twitter’s got 300 jokes, though

After news trickled in of Padmavat getting a bit too many cuts, CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi has clarified that the film does not have 300 cuts, but that clearly hasn’t stopped Twitter from posting some hilarious jokes. As rumours spread that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s controversial film will finally be released on 25th January after going through almost 300 cuts, Prasoon Joshi clarified that the certification process of Padmavat is done, and the reports about these cuts are simply untrue.

Twitterati doesn’t really seem to care though, because they obviously saw the opportunity to carpe diem by making memes. The Twitter brigade came out in full force to imagine what the movie would look like after the alleged 300 cuts and the results are hilarious.
