Want to earn a whopping Rs 11 lakh for doing nothing? If yes, then you can get a job for this. A space research centre is offering a job that needs you to sleep in bed.
Researchers at France’s Institute of Space Medicine and Physiology are looking for people who can spend at least two months sleeping in bed while they can study the effects of microgravity. The job offers a good amount of money, to the tune of 16,000 euros (approximately Rs 11 lakhs).
According to international media reports, the researchers want to study the human body while reproducing the weightlessness of the International Space Station (ISS).
The job seekers will have to spend two months on the study, which will have three phases. The first two weeks will have a series of examinations and measurements and thereafter the volunteers will have to be bedridden.
Think you know enough? That’s not all. The job may sound easy but it isn’t as there are some rules you will have to follow. The major rule is that the volunteer has to remain completely bedridden. It is necessary that the volunteer should keep at least one shoulder in contact with the bed all the time.
Also, participants would have to spend their time eating, sleeping, washing, and almost every daily routine, while staying on the bed.
The job is not for everyone, the volunteer should be male, non-smoker, aged between 20 and 45, must have perfect health, have no allergies and must have a body mass index between 22 and 27.
