First, it was the actress Katrina Kaif who made her much-awaited debut and the whole nation went berserk. Welcomed by many Bollywood celebrities and her fans, Katrina’s Instagram followers saw a surge of 1.6M within a week of her debut. The actress shared her debut picture and captioned it as “new beginnings…coming from my happy place #helloinstagram”. And now, the Indian actress–turned-politician, Union Minister Smriti Irani is on Instagram and brought all the nostalgia with her.
The Union Textiles minister made her debut with a throwback picture and captioned it as “Guess who is Insta now #tbt #goodolddays”. She went ahead and took us all down the memory lane when she was the ruling actress on small screen as Tulsi Virani of the long-running Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
She also shared a picture with her friend and producer Ekta Kapoor as well as actress Sakshi Tanwar, another hit contemporary actress who played Parvati on Ekta’s other hit serial, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki. She thanked her friend for insisting that she join Instagram, “#ektaravikapoor Thanks for pestering me to do this, Looks like a fun journey ahead #tbt #thosewerethedays”
In return, Ekta Kapoor gladly welcomed her friend with a message, “Let’s welcome my friend! A force to reckon with! Her meteoric rise stunned many but what stuns me more is how rooted she is! Finally, on Instagram let’s welcome Tulsi! @smritiiraniofficial!”
The within few hours of her debut, the politician has garnered more than 8k followers. She also shared some Instagyan with a picture that read, “Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor each morning the devil says, ‘oh crap, she’s up'”.
