Players to play with apple instead of ball? Here’s the unmissable ROFL moment in the history of IPL!

This year's Indian Premier League (IPL) is without a doubt, the weirdest.

Ever since the greatest fest in international cricket kicked-off on April 5, the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been on everyone’s minds. Not only is IPL 2017 the most glamorous but, it also seems like the weirdest season yet.

And, last night’s match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Rising Supergiants Pune (RSP) took it to a whole other level. Even surpassing Sunil Gavaskar’s dance with the cheerleaders, this IPL season went totally cray-cray when, before the commencement of the match, a woman handed out apples to the umpires.

Standing in front of a full basket of apples, she handed over the fruit to the umpires before giving them the ball which was to be played with in the match. We are not sure how any of that makes any sense whatsoever besides the fact that the ball and the apples were the same colour.

It seems that IPL 2017 is trying too hard to seem appealing when it doesn’t even need to do so. Cricket fans would watch it without all the absurdity that they are trying to put in.
