Baked, Mashed or fried — potatoes are delicious. And talking about fried potatoes, any well-versed French fry connoisseur will tell you that while there are a lot of deep-fried potato dishes out there, McDonald’s has the best ones.
From childhood to adulthood (we’re really trying) they’ve been the greatest source of happiness (yeah fats, cholesterol too. Shut up, mom!). Now, there’s another reason why fry lovers can rejoice -— Refinery29 recently came across a study conducted at Yokohama National University, Japan that claimed that an ingredient used in McDonald’s french fries could potentially help cure baldness. The study was published in the Biomaterials journal and found that the dimethylpolysiloxane used to cook these delicious fries could possibly help develop new and improved hair regrowth therapies. According to their studies, it did that for hairless mice. Their successful experiments on mice prove that it might work on people too.
There is a catch though. The chemical alone can not stimulate hair growth. It was used to create hundreds of vessels in which the hair follicle germs could possibly grow, key word being possibly.
