Ace tennis player, Serena Williams who has set many records on field and has remained off the field for quite some time now, has posed for the cover of the popular international magazine, Vanity Fair’s latest edition. Serena Williams who got engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian last December is pregnant, and Vanity Fair’s celebrated photographer, Annie Leibovitz, has done a photoshoot with the tennis star. So when Vanity Fair posted the cover of its fresh edition online, with a pregnant Serena posing nude, obviously it evoked a lot of response all over the world with many praising the bold and beautiful Serena, and some completely on a different track (read offended and not-so-amused).
In past as well, Vanity Fair has done some equally beautiful photoshoots with Hollywood actresses Demi Moore (1991) and Natalie Portman (2017), so a few people had complaints on creativity issues while some even hinted at the image being photoshopped to make it look more striking. All said and done, while there were a few naysayers, Serena’s photograph got some outstandingly positive response from the social media. And we cannot agree more.
