She asked for a wedding date on Twitter, found an incredibly beautiful love story instead

Llia and Phil's Twitter love story culminated in them marrying each other after three years. Their story is as amazing as their first interaction.

There have been number of times we have heard about stories of people dating online, falling in love and then getting married. Isn’t it? Nothing new. But Llia Apostolou and Phil Gibson’s love story is quite different but absolutely adorable. No, they did not meet through one of those online dating sites. Llia and Phil got in touch on social media, to be more precise, on Twitter and their love story which culminated in them marrying each other after three years is as amazing as their first interaction.

Llia and Phil who are married now announced their wedding on Twitter and the Twitter just cannot stop getting happily amazed at how incredibly beautiful their story is. It all started with Llia’s sister’s wedding as Llia wanted a date for herself. Not only did Llia tweeted asking for a date, she went ahead and also asked if ‘that man’ can also source a baby from somewhere.

Her tweet was as wacky as possible and one that would make anyone crack up “Are you a man? Can I borrow you for a wedding next weekend? Bonus points if you can source a baby that I can pretend is mine too.” She received a response almost within a few minutes from Phil Gibson. Three years later, they got married.

The conversation that happened three years back:

Are you a man? Can I borrow you for a wedding next weekend? Bonus points if you can source a baby that I can pretend is mine too.

@Llia It’s a date! Just a date though, right?

— Phil Gibson (@philgibson01) July 6, 2014

@philgibson01 is this how internet dating works?

— Llia Apostolou (@Llia) July 6, 2014

@Llia My Grandma already wants to meet you.

— Phil Gibson (@philgibson01) July 6, 2014

@philgibson01 that’s nice and all, but I didn’t invite her to my wedding. No, wait, THE wedding. Slip of the tongue.

And, it was only nice to see that Llia informed the Twitter that she finally ended up marrying Phil, her wedding date. But she also clarified that she and Phil did not meet on her sister’s wedding but later that week.

Almost exactly three years later, I can say… Reader, I married him. https://t.co/4Gldzbbsw2

Should clarify, we didn’t go to that wedding together (it was my sister’s, imagine!) but Phil & I did meet IRL for the 1st time that week

— Llia Apostolou (@Llia) July 5, 2017

But still – I jokingly wished to marry him, having not even met him, and it happened. Still blows my mind.
