Pakistani fast bowlers Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim Akram feature in this brand new television promo for Geo Khelo Pakistan. The two fast-paced bowlers who have given many batsmen the run for their money do have a funny side to them. The Pakistani bowlers engage in buffoonery for this new commercial as they joke about the old adage of a hen laying a golden egg. The Pakistani duo of cricketing fame was acting in a promotional video for a television game show ‘Geo Khelo Pakistan’ and Shoaib took to twitter to praise Akram’s acting skills.

The video shoes Shoaib’s character who owes a lot of money to Wasim’s character. Shoaib then proposes to gift a hen against Rs. 400,000 he had borrowed from Akram. He tells the money-lender that the hen has some unique qualities as it lays golden eggs. With twinkling eyes, Wasim grabs the hen and begins to patiently wait for the day he will become rich with a golden egg but the hen doesn’t lay any eggs. Turns out that Shoaib has tricked Wasim and the hen turns out to be a rooster. Needless to say, an angry Akram catches hold of Shoaib and demands a refund. What he gets instead is a ticket to the game show that the duo is promoting where he ends up winning a lot of prizes. Finally, when Shoaib asks what else do you want, Wasim solemnly replies The hen who lays golden eggs.
The game show is yet to air and how it will fair is yet to be seen but both the formidable fast bowlers have a promising career in store on the small screen, if that is where they are headed.
