Controversies are synonymous with the ever-so-notorious Shobha De. The journo, author and columnist was at the receiving end of the Twitter’s anger when she posted an image of an obese police officer on Twitter and poked fun at the security bandobast in Mumbai during BMC elections.
“Heavy police bandobast in Mumbai today!” De read her Twitter post that has an image of an obese policeman.
Now Mumbai Police, famous for their witty tweets and puns, shut the author down with their fitting response.
“We love puns too Ms De but this one is totally imisplaced. Uniform/official not ours. We expect better from responsible citizens like you,” tweeted out the official Twitter handle of Mumbai Police.
Now, in an apology, she wrote:
Mumbai/Maharashtra Police, pranaam. No offence intended. M.P. police, consult a dietician,if it's an asli ,undoctored image doing the rounds
