We all have heard about the amazing Northern and Southern lights, which leaves you spellbound and to provide an up-close view of these the Air New Zealand charter flight gave an opportunity to some people to have the best time of their life.
The Air New Zealand charter flight took passengers on board and gave them their best shot at seeing the cosmic lights.
On March 23, the charter plane left Dunedin, New Zealand, and flew close to the Antarctic Circle to give an extraordinary view to its passengers.
Otago Museum Director and Astronomer, Ian Griffin said, he was inspired after seeing the Southern Lights while flying as a guest on a NASA observatory plane.
Griffin said, the 134 seats on the chartered Boeing 767 sold out within 5 days and one man traveled from Spain for the trip. He further added the charter flight were only selling window seats and seats immediately adjacent, leaving the middle of the aircraft empty for the breath taking view for the passengers.
