On Sunday, a blog by an anonymous author went viral which accused the CEO of web-based production house The Viral Fever Arunabh Kumar of sexual harassment. The blog post titled “The Indian Uber- That is TVF”, the blogger recounted her horrors of being sexually assaulted by the TVF founder way back in 2014. After the blog post gained visibility on social media, TVF felt compelled to address the issue, rubbishing the allegations altogether.

In an official statement, TVF claimed that that allegations were false and baseless. “All the allegations made against TVF and its team in the article are categorically false, baseless and unverified. We take a lot of pride in our team and in making TVF a safe workplace that is equally comfortable for women and men.”

TVF also guaranteed that they will track down the author of the defamatory blog and bring them to justice. “We will leave no stone unturned to find the author of the article and bring them to severe justice for making such false allegations,” they stated.

TVF CEO Arunabh Kumar (pictured above) was accused of sexual harassment in an anonymous blog that went viral on Sunday.

The original blog post claimed that Arunabh took advantage of the author, offering her a job at TVF in times of her desperate need, and then demanded sexual favours. The author claims to have accepted the offer since both Arunabh and she hail from the same hometown – Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The blogger wrote that Kumar in a first such instance in 2014, Kumar grabbed her by her hand and asked her if she would be interested in role-playing.

She continued with her tale of molestation and stated, “Since then it became routine. Right from Pitchers to Tripling, I was molested. Be it in parties where Arunabh would try to lift me or would try and fall on me pretending he is drunk.” She alleged that Kumar once demanded a “quicky” from her and told her that the police won’t be of any assistance to her.

After having tolerated the alleged molestation, the author quit her job at TVF last year. “I walked out of the place last year. Jobless, Mindless. I dont have much to say. I am not as strong as many other women. I just need my life back. I dont think these guys would let me have one,” she wrote.

She ended her blog post saying, “Arunabh, I know that you know who I am. But then, Fuck you too.” The authenticity of said instances is yet to be verified and TVF has declared them false. People on social media are equally perplexed at the predicament, not being able to tell the truth apart. Only further investigation will lead to the discovery of harder facts.
