Watch: Dad puts crying daughter to sleep by chanting ‘Om’, video goes viral

Facebook user Daniel Eisenman shared a short video of how he managed to pacify his daughter with one simpler trick- chanting the mantra 'Om'

As adorable as little babies can be, only parents know the pain of putting a toddler to sleep. And when they get cranky, it’s like somebody has blown up the speaker with ‘Cry Me To Death’ on loop. Babies can sleep the longest hours and then wake up just when you desperately need them to sleep.  People have tried several tricks to pacify a baby but they don’t really work as often. What if we were to tell you that there is a super efficient way to get your child to stop crying?

Facebook user Daniel Eisenman shared a short video of how he managed to pacify his daughter with one simpler trick – chanting the Sanskrit mantra ‘Om’. Daniel was trying to pacify his daughter as she would not stop crying so, he started chanting ‘Om’, and it worked! His daughter stopped crying and immediately went to sleep.

The video went viral and now has over 35 million views. Facebook users can’t help but wonder how this infant just magically stopped crying. “Kid was a Buddhist monk in a past life,” wrote one Facebook user. Another, gave a more scientific reasoning, saying, “My pediatrician told me that humming noises, such as a vacuum, imitate the mothers pulsing heart beat when in utero, therefore babies love it.” (sic)
