Manisha Koirala has been an inspiration for many, the veteran actor and cancer survivor has tugged at the heartstrings of her audience. Known for her acting prowess, she is no longer labelled as the solemn beauty from Nepal who was known for her ethereal looks. In her Ted Talk, the Dil Se actress talks about the unpredictability of life and how it makes life “so fragile and yet so beautiful.”
“I lived a life that many would only dream of,” she recounts as she talks about her expedition in the world of cinema as she walked into the sets of her first film in 1989.
Some of her work in critically acclaimed movies was with flagship directors such as Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Subhash Ghai and Mani Ratnam. Manisha Koirala was one of the actors who touched the zenith quite soon and was also appreciated by her critics, something women did not have back then.
From her flopped films to her bad relationships, Manisha opens up about the point in her life when things began to go south.
Manisha also had her fair share of ups and downs, but it was only in 2012 with her diagnosis of cancer that she actually hit a low and decided to introspect her life deeply. It was this very introspection which gave Manisha motivation and rejuvenated her faith in life.
