From Korean tech giant Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones to Aston Martin Valkyrie, the beast that rocked Geneva Auto Show 2017 back in March, the year 2017 is overloaded with technological innovations that have left the people stunned. And those are just the gadgets that will be available in the market later this year.

Microsoft is said to be working on a smartphone that would be unlike all the other smartphones there in the market. Microsoft Surface phone is likely to be launched in the final quarter of 2017 in three variants– a consumer model, a business model and a special edition device. Unlike the phones running on Android and iOS, Microsoft is likely to pitch the phone as a two-in-one device running on Windows 10. The company so far has been tight-lipped about the device. However, according to Market Exclusive, Microsoft Surface phone is likely to run on Snapdragon 835 processor and feature a 21MP rear camera with Carl Zeiss lens technology.

Apple iPhone 8

The world is gearing up for the launch of Apple iPhone 8. Though the company has traditionally opted for a September launch, rumours suggest that Apple might go for a November launch instead. There are many rumours regarding the specifications of the upcoming smartphone. The word is that iPhone 8 would run on A11 chipset and sport 3D facial recognition system. It’s likely to come with an edge-to-edge OLED display with no bezels on the sides and vertically aligned rear camera.

Tesla Model 3

Tesla Model 3 is one of the most anticipated cars of the year. According to the company, Model 3 sedan runs 215 miles on a single charge and can reach from zero to 60mph in under 6 seconds. It is designed to attain the highest security ratings and it can seat five adults. Model 3 features an autopilot mode and is priced at $35,000 (Rs 22,43,000 approx).

Microsoft has launched its new Surface laptop in May this year. The laptop is available in four variants– while the laptop with 7th generation Intel core i5 processor with 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD is available for $999 (Rs 64,000 approx); the variant with 7th generation Intel core i5 processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD is available for $1,299 (Rs 83,000 approx). On the other hand, the laptop with 7th generation Intel core i7 processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD is available for $1,599 (Rs 1,00,000 approx); the variant with 7th generation Intel core i7 processor, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD is available for $2,199 (Rs 1,41,000 approx). All the four laptops run on Windows 10 and the company will start shipping the device in June this year.

Google is likely to make the announcement regarding upcoming smartphone operating system (OS) Android O (is it Oreo or Orange) at Google’s I/O conference that is scheduled to start on May 17, 2017. Similar to Android 7.0 Nougat, the tech giant is likely to unveil its next OS in August.

Google’s rumoured smartphone Pixel 2 likely to launched in the second quarter of 2017 around October. Rumour has it that the phone will feature Snapdragon 835 SoC in its heart along with 6GB RAM and run on Android O. Reports further suggest that its 5.6-inch quad HD display would be protected by Corning Gorilla 5 protection.

Xbox fans rejoice as Microsoft is launching its project Scorpio in holiday 2017. The device will feature 4K UHD gaming quality with a 2.3GHz CPU and a 6 teraflop GPU. It will have 1TB HDD storage space with 326 GB/s memory bandwidth and 12GB GDDR5 memory.
