The countdown has officially begun. Amazon’s Great Indian Sale begins on May 11, 2017, midnight and joining the bandwagon last minute is Chinese telecommunication giant Coolpad. The company has announced a discount on two of its most popular smartphones Coolpad Note 5 and Coolpad Note 5 Lite during the sale between May 11, 2017, and May 14, 2017. As a part of the Amazon Great Indian sale Coolpad Note 5 will be available for Rs 9,999 and Coolpad Note 5 Lite will be available for Rs 6,999.
“India is among the top performing markets for Coolpad where we have received a tremendous response for Note series. Both Note 5 and Note 5 Lite were among the most popular choice for smartphone buyers on the Amazon platform,” Coolpad India CEO Syed Tajuddin said in a statement to IANS.
On the specifications front, Coolpad Note 5 is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 SoC and runs on Cool UI 8.0 which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It sports a 5.5-inch full HD display with a fingerprint sensor that is placed on the rear part of the phone. The phone comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card. As far as the camera is concerned, Coolpad Note 5 sports a 13MP rear camera with 5P lens technology and an 8MP front camera with dual-LED flash.
In terms of connectivity, the phone supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi and it comes with a mighty 4,010 mAh battery. It is available in two colour variants– Space Gray and Royal Gold.

On the other hand, Coolpad Note 5 has quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor in its heart and it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It sports a 5-inch display with a fingerprint sensor that is placed on the rear side of the phone. The phone comes with 3GB RAM and 16GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card.
The phone sports a 13MP rear camera with 5P lens technology and an 8MP front camera with LED flash. In terms of connectivity, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi and it comes with a 2500mAh battery. It is available in two colour variants– Space Gray and Royal Gold.
