The word is out that HMD Global, the Finnish manufacturer that holds the rights to market Nokia, is unveiling the company’s iconic Nokia 3310 mobile phone at the Mobile World Congress 2017 (MWC 2017) in Barcelona later this month. The initial reports suggest that this legendary phone, that was launched by the company in 2000, would be available in the European and the North American markets only. However, the new reports suggest that India might get lucky!
According to media reports, Nokia 3310 might be available in India as early as May 2017. Reports further suggest that the revamped version of the phone will look different from the original phone and would be available in multiple colour variants. The phone will be priced around Rs 3,000 approx and would be available via both online and offline channels. The downside is that the company might not be focusing on flooding the market with the phone.
A concept video that was released last week suggests that the new Nokia 3310 will feature a 1.5-inch display along with 8GB internal memory that can be expanded via a micro USB port. The phone will also sport a 1650mAh battery.
