All those who have migrated from Android operating system to iOS have faced this dilemma at least once– whether to ditch the old Android ecosystem or not? While the change in apps and their functionality is inescapable, what appears as a cause of concern for most people is the issue of data transfer. From contacts and media files to calendar entries and messages, the amount of data to be transferred while switching smartphones is humongous and the confusion is obvious.
However there is no need to panic, as thanks to technology, you can transfer data from your old Android smartphone to your brand new iPhone in a matter of seconds (not literally!).
But before you begin here’s a list of things that you’ll need:
a) An Apple device running on iOS 9 or later (your new iPhone or iPad)
b) An Android device running on Android 4.0 or later (your old smartphone)
c) A Wi-Fi connection
Ok, now that everything is in place, just follow these steps:
Step 1: Set up your iPhone until you reach ‘Apps and Data’ screen.
Step 2: Tap ‘Move Data from Android’.
Step 3: Open Google Play Store on your Android device and search for ‘Move to iOS’ app.
Step 4: ‘Install’ the app on your Android device. Tap ‘Open’ once the app has been successfully installed.
