Taiwanese electronics giant HTC launched its flagship smartphone HTC U11 at a global launch event in Taipei on May 16, 2017. HTC U11 is the world’s first ‘squeezable’ phone and it is loaded with features that will give Samsung, Apple and Google smartphones a run for their money. Unlike all other phones in the market, HTC U11 not only is a sight to the sore eyes (all thanks to its 3D liquid glass surface design) but also is refreshingly innovative.

HTC U11 features HTC’s native ‘Edge Sense’ technology that lets users give commands simply by squeezing the phone. From playing music and click photo to opening apps and answering text messages, users can do pretty much anything using by squeezing the phone. The best part about the phone’s Edge Sense technology is that it works just as easily and swiftly with wet hands and gloves.

In terms of specifications, in the heart of HTC U11 lies Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC. It runs on the latest version of Android 7.0 Nougat with HTC Sense skin and is available in two RAM variants– 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM with up to 128 GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card. U11 comes with a 5.5-inch Quad HD display that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device comes with IP67 water and dust resistant technology and supports 4G LTE, VoLTE, NFC, BlueTooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi 802.11 for connectivity. It sports a 16MP selfie camera with HDR Boost and a 12MP rear camera with OIS and EIS technology that allows users to click flawless photos even when their hands are shaking.
