OMG OMG OMG! Instagram seems to have stopped working!
Users are unable to see people’s pictures or even profiles and are instead greeted with empty profiles with the message “Couldn’t refresh feed”. The recent outage has affected over a billion people all over the world. The web version of the app also has problems. Heading to any page brings up only a “5xx Server Error”.
The blackout comes just days after Instagram’s co-founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger resigned after reportedly disagreeing with Facebook—Instagram’s parent company—over how the photo-sharing app should be run. Facebook has now named Adam Mosseri, a 10-year veteran at the company, as the head of Instagram
And it’s not just us who are inconsolable in this tragic hour. People on Twitter are also losing their shit, trying to find what their lives mean after the one app they could depend on blacked out:

Instagram is yet to give a reason behind the outage and hasn’t provided any information yet as to when the app will be back online.
