The countdown has begun. Smartphone giant Samsung would officially unveil one of the most awaited smartphones of the year– Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus at an event in New York on March 29, 2017. Ahead of the official launch, details about the specifications and features of the two smartphones keep pouring in. After getting the insights into the specifications that would mark Samsung’s comeback after its Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, new leaks have revealed the colours that the two smartphones will be available in.
While one tweet from a user based in China shows Samsung Galaxy S8 in Gold, another tweet by a Twitter account- Tech Droid shows the front cover of the smartphone in six different colours– Glossy Black, White, Electric Blue, Silver, Gold and Matte Black. The same Twitter account has also posted an image of Galaxy S8 alongside its big brother Galaxy S8 Plus.
Apart from the leaks revealing the colours, the new images also give a peek into the apps that would feature in the two smartphones. The two smartphones are likely to feature a separate app for fast charging. There are several other icons whose functionality remains a mystery as of now.

5.8-inch Samsung Galaxy S8 would feature a super AMOLED display along with water and dust resistant IP68 technology. The smartphone would be powered by Qualcomm’s latest innovation Snapdragon 835 processor. On the other hand, 6.2-inch Galaxy S8+ would feature an sAMOLED display and sport a 4GB RAM with a 64GB internal memory that can be expanded via microSD. Both the smartphones would run on Android Nougat and would feature Samsung’s Bixby virtual assistant.
