While Nokia unveiled its much awaited 3310, the phone that it resurrected after it was first launched in 2000, Sony launched yet another version of its Xperia series.
In case you missed on the updates, here’s what went down on day one of MWC 2017:
NOKIA
The world was eyeing on what Nokia would unveil after its string of unfortunate releases in the Android era. The company launched four phones– Nokia 3310, Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 at the MWC 2017. While Nokia 3310 is a normal handheld, Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 are smartphones, available in both single SIM and dual SIM variants.
SAMSUNG
Samsung decided not to unveil its most awaited smartphone Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ at MWC 2017, but that didn’t stop the company from unveiling something spectacular here. The company unveiled Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 and Galaxy Book at the event. Both the tabs feature support for S Pen stylus and feature Samsung flow technology.
MOTOROLA
Motorola upgraded its Moto G line by launching two new smartphones– Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus at the MWC 2017. The good news that Moto G5 Plus will be available in India on March 15, which means we won’t have to wait for a long time to get our hands on this smartphone.
BLACKBERRY
2017 is a year of resurrections as the year is witnessing several old players making a comeback in the market. After Nokia, another brand that is returning after a series of failed attempts is Blackberry. The company launched Blackberry KEYone, which blends the new age touchscreen technology with the company’s famous QWERTY keypad. It looks just fantastic.
LG
LG may have been lacking behind in the smartphone market, but that hasn’t stopped the tech giant from trying to get over its past failures. With G6, LG re-enters to the smartphone market in which it was once left behind.
SONY
Of all the smartphones released so far, Sony is clearly a winner. The tech giant released Xperia XZ Premium and by far it’s one of the most powerful smartphone unveiled at MWC 2017. Sony’s Xperia series has been widely popular and it’s latest offering is likely to make the heads turn.
HUAWEI
Huawei’s latest releases are another example why MWC is our favourite event of the year. Huawei launched two smartphones at the event — P10 and P10 Plus. Huawei may not be a popular name in the smartphone market but the company sure has been consistent in its performance so far.
