It’s party time for Reliance Jio as the company has aced the 4G speed by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) for the seventh consecutive month offering an average download speed of 18.65 mbps. According to TRAI, the newbie telecom operator provided the highest average download speed average in the month of June. On the other hand, Bharti Airtel scored the lowest by offering an average of speed of 8.91 mbps.
Even though there was a slight decline in the average decline in average speed, as it dipped from 19.12 mbps at the beginning of the month to 18.65 mbps at the end of the June, it was faster than all other telecom operators in the country. Vodafone stood second offering an average download speed of 11.07 mbps at the end of June. The third spot was bagged by Idea cellular, which recently merged with Vodafone India, as the company recorded an average download speed of 9.46 mbps. Last in line is Bharti Airtel, which boasts of having the ‘fastest growing networking in the country’. As mentioned earlier, the company provided a download speed of 18.65 mbps only.

The 3G segment was led by Vodafone India, which provided an average download speed of 5.16 mbps, which was followed by Airtel at 3.56 mbps. Next in line was Idea cellular which offered a speed of 2.94 mbps, which was followed by Aircel at 2.39 mbps. Last in line was state-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) which provided an average download speed of 1.65 mbps. It is worth noting that these figures are based on the real-time data collected by the TRAI using its MySpeed app.
