What’s our worst nightmare during a road trip? Not being able to find a toilet when we’re dying to go. Or if you do manage to find a comfort station, it’s hard to get out of it without touching anything. That’s where ‘KLOO’ steps in — an app set to launch this month that aims to help you find hotels and toilet facilities nearby.
Pioneered by the Kerala Hotel and Restaurant Association (KHRA), the app aims to do away with people searching for comfort stations in order to relieve themselves. With the app, people can walk into the restaurants of any hotel, regardless of their rating, and avail the toilet facility.
G Jayapal, general secretary, state committee, KHRA, told TNIE, that the app was launched to open restrooms in hotels
“In the app, one can check all toilet facilities in the hotel, along with other details pertaining to the hotel. We are not forcing any hoteliers to enlist themselves in our app. It is totally voluntary.”
According to Jayapal, though hotels, at present, cannot deny people from using their toilets, most are shy about availing the same without purchasing something. With a new policy and with KLOO app, the restrooms of all hotels will open up for use by commuters.
The app will feature the restaurants and hotels, its restroom facilities along with other facilities in the hotel. It was launched on a pilot basis in Kozhikode where over 100 hoteliers enlisted themselves in the app.
Somebody, please launch the app nationwide?
