In a move to up its ante against the newbie telecom operator Reliance Jio that has stormed the Indian telecom sector with its disruptive data plans and marketing strategy, Vodafone India has announced a new plan for its 4G prepaid users. Vodafone’s First Recharge Coupon (FRC) plan offers 1 GB data per day for 70 days on a recharge of Rs 244. The plan also bundles unlimited STD and local calls on Vodafone network along with the data plan for 70 days.
However, there’s a catch. The First Recharge Coupon plan is valid for new users only. Second recharge onwards, the validity of the plan will be limited to 35 days only. Also, the plan has been rolled out in select regions and the price of the tariff may vary based on the region you are in.
Vodafone is offering similar benefits to old customers as well. On a recharge of Rs 346, users will get unlimited voice calls to any network. However, the calls under this plan are limited to 300 minutes per day and 1,200 minutes per week. The plan is valid for 56 days.
