Imagine buying an exorbitantly priced sherwani, lehenga or sari for a significant wedding function and not knowing what to do with it thereafter. Now, how many of you went ‘been there, done that’ right after reading that line? Well AIB understands and is here with their latest video on exactly this feeling of helplessness.
In an opener to their series ‘Apps That Should Exist’ AIB is here with an app that organizes all sorts of fake functions to help you make use of those clothes that burnt a hole in your pocket. Févént, because ‘French ki maatra’ makes it sound posh, is an app on AIB and most of our wishlists who sit around wondering what to do with such expensive couture. Hilarious as ever, AIB’s new video is a brilliant take on what takes over us when we buy clothes that can never be worn a second time and spend a bomb on them.
In a desperate attempt to use his sherwani with brilliant zari on it, Rohan Joshi even goes out to buy vegetables in that attire. Understandably he has us all laughing at how useless these clothes are after that one wedding we bought it for is over.
Since buying such clothes is a disorder and momentary loss of judgment that has dawned upon and seeped into all us mortals, an app like this could indeed be life-changing. Yes we know the events are fake but well we cannot get real people to invite you to weddings simply because you bought that zardozi-embellished lehenga, you see?
Also, on this note AIB mentions ‘Flyrobe’, an app where one can rent top-notch designer apparel to save us from buying stuff we barely need. Now, if that still sounds a lot less fun than attending fake functions in your designer wear, let’s hear it for Févént.
