President Ram Nath Kovind is on a three-nation tour of Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Cyprus to invite companies from European countries to manufacture in India as part of ‘Make in India’ programme. He is the fifth Indian President to visit the central European country and the first since President Shankar Dayal Sharma in 1996.
Attending a reception by the Indo-Czech Association in Prague, President Kovind and his wife witnessed soulful renditions of iconic songs sung by Kishore Kumar and Mohammad Rafi. The India-Czech Sinfonietta Orchestra played the special tunes and Czech musicians and singers won hearts with ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ and ‘Ai Dil Hai Mushkil Jeena Yahan’.
The videos of the renditions of the Bollywood songs were uploaded on President Kovind’s Twitter handle. Many on social media loved the reception:
