At least 12 people were killed and over 17 others injured after an explosion rocked the outer area of the supreme court of Afghanistan in Kabul on February 7.
A suicide bomber allegedly attacked the staff of the apex court who were leaving the office premises at the end of the day, police said.
Najib Danish, an Afghan official has confirmed the death count.
He said that the explosion took place near a side door, which is used by the court’s employees to leave the building, and not the main entrance.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s ministry of health said that casualty numbers may surge further.
According to reports, several ambulances were seen plying in the area.
