A medium intensity earthquake measuring 5.0 on the richter scale strikes Nepal on February 27 morning. However, no loss of life or damage to property reported so far.

Earlier on 25th April 2005, an earthquake measuring 7.8 on Richter scale struck Nepal which nearly killed about 9,000 people and injured about 22,000. It occurred at 11:56 Nepal Standard Time. The epicenter was on the border of Dolakha and Sindhupalchowk, two districts of Nepal.
