Berlin 'terror' attack: 12 dead, 48 injured as truck rams into crowded Christmas market

The Berlin attack brings back horrifying memories of the Nice terror attack which killed 86 people and injured more than 400.

At least 12 people are dead and as many as 48 have been injured after a truck ran into a crowded Christmas market in Berlin.

The injured have been injured to the hospital. According to international media reports, the police are suspecting a possible terror angle just ahead of Christmas. The police has also managed to nab the alleged accused. However, there is no particular information to the driver’s affiliation at the moment.

The incident took place on Monday evening around 7pm. Reports further suggest that the truck that mowed down a crowd of people on Breitscheidplatz Square, was stolen from a refugee.

The incident took place right outside the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church.

Additionally, the attack came soon after Russian Ambassador was shot dead in Ankara.
