'No wrongdoing in new set of emails': FBI gives clean chit to Hillary Clinton

Last week, the FBI had claimed to have stumbled upon 650,000 emails linked to probe against Hillary.

In a major relief to Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has stated that it found nothing wrong in the fresh emails linked to her private mail server.

James Comey, the premier investigation agency’s director, in a letter to the congressional leaders,”Based on our review, we have not changed our conclusions that we expressed in July with respect to Secretary Clinton.”

However, less than two weeks ago, Comey had claimed that the FBI stumbled upon a whopping 650,000 emails which could be relevant to investigate the former secretary of state.

Clinton’s spokesperson Brian Fallon in a tweet expressed satisfaction over the clean-chit to Clinton.

On the other hand, the Democratic nominee’s opponent and Republican candidate Donald Trump was quick too react as he accused his rival of being protected by a rigged system, the Associated Press reported.

In March last year, it was alleged that Hillary during her tenure as secretary of state in the Obama administration had used her private email server for official communication, rather than the official email accounts on the government servers

The clearance to Hillary comes days before more than 120 million population of one of the world’s largest democracy exercises its right to vote for electing the next president. Donald Trump is pitted against Hillary Clinton for the coveted post.
