The search for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 has ended after nearly 3 years after the members involved in search operation failed to find a single trace of the plane.
“Crews have finally completed their deep-sea search of a desolate stretch of the Indian Ocean without finding a single trace of the plane,” The Joint Agency Coordination Center in Australia said on Tuesday.
“Today the last search vessel has left the underwater search area. Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 has not been located in the 120,000 square-kilometre underwater search area in the southern Indian Ocean,” the Australian authorities said in a statement.
Flight MH370 disappeared on 8 March 2014, vanishing from radar shortly after take-off from Kuala Lumpar en route to Beijing. The plane is believed to have crashed in the Indian Ocean, claiming the lives of all 239 crew and passengers on board.
