Man prevents suicidal woman from jumping in front of a speeding train in China, Watch here

Prompt action and quick thinking by a rail worker in China saved the life of a girl who was on her way to commit suicide by jumping in front of the train. The incident took place at Putian station in Fujian province of East China and got captured on the station surveillance camera.

According to a UK-based news website, Express.co.uk, a young woman who is a university student was saved by a 54-year-old railway worker, Weng Jianzhong, at the last moment. When Jianzhong saw her running towards the speeding train he ran after her and grabbed her arm when she was bout to jump in front of the train.

They both fell backwards with Jianzhong hitting his head on the floor but he managed to stop the woman who was going to take the extreme step. Some seconds after which a speeding train arrived at the platform.

Two other men who were standing on the platform can be rushing towards the pair. The railway worker did not sustain any severe injuries. Reportedly, he was observing the woman who appeared to be in a low mood. Weng Jianzhong has also been awarded for his quick thinking. According to CGTN, the incident took place on May 10.

A few months back, railway station staff also helped a three-year-old girl who fell from a railway platform seconds before the departure of the train. The incident took place when she was walking with her mother near the edge of the platform.
