Seems like being on Facebook can also be a reason for punishment for some. A husband in Qatar sealed his wife’s genitals with crazy glue. Why? Because she ‘liked’ a photograph of his cousin on Facebook. What is even more shocking is the fact that the Qatari Court of Justice in Doha fined the husband for merely $10 and instead ordered the wife to be lashed 100 times “to prevent further misunderstandings between her and her husband”.
The court also stated that the husband’s reason for punishing his wife was “well-intentioned” but they put into action in an “awkward way”. The Doha Tribune reported that the man felt that it was a good idea for him to seal his wife’s vagina since he was going away for a few days on a business trip.

During a hearing in the court, he confessed to the judge that he committed the act but only because he thought that she had “adulterous ideas” after she liked a post of his 12-year-old cousin on Facebook.
The woman suffered medical complications and had to be rushed to the emergency room after the ‘punishment’. The woman’s family had filed a complaint against the man accusing him of damaging her reproductive organs and risking to make her infertile.
Blaming his wife, the man also showed the court a selfie that she had posted on her Facebook account in which her heels were visible and not covered as per the Islamic law. The court has also ‘prevented’ the man from using any sort of glue or adhesive on his wife ever again.
